1972 Treaty Grants the United Nations Control Over American Historical Landmarks

When our Founding Fathers sparked the American Revolution and signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, they sought self-government for the American colonies and an escape from the dominance of England.

The Founding Fathers would be shocked to learn that some of their successors have given control of key American sovereign territory to other nations.

Through an international treaty, the United States is allowing the United Nations and its member countries access to and control of American soil – in particular, our historic buildings and treasured wilderness.

In 1972, our government signed the United Nations‘ World Heritage Treaty, a treaty that creates “World Heritage Sites” and Biosphere Reserves.” Selected for their cultural, historical or natural significance, national governments are obligated to protect these landmarks under U.N. mandate.1 Since 1972, 68 percent of all U.S. national parks, monuments and preserves have been designated as World Heritage Sites.2

Twenty important symbols of national pride, along with 51 million acres of our wilderness, are World Heritage Sites or Biosphere Reserves now falling under the control of the U.N. This includes the Statue of Liberty, Thomas Jefferson’s home at Monticello, the Washington Monument, the Brooklyn Bridge, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite, the Florida Everglades and the Grand Canyon – to name just a few.

Most ironic of all is the listing of Philadelphia’s Independence Hall. The birthplace of our Republic is now an official World Heritage Site. The very place where our Founding Fathers signed both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution – the documents that set America apart from other nations and created the world’s longest-standing democracy – is no longer fully under the control of our government and the American people.

Protection of our treasured places is a sound undertaking, but doing so by ceding control of our sovereign territory to a foreign power is wrong and threatens our rights and freedoms.

In 1995, Crown Butte Mines in the New World Mining District in Montana was forced to abandon a mine development project after the U.N. listed Yellowstone National Park as a “World Heritage Site in Danger.”3 Crown Butte proposed to mine a medium-size underground operation on private property three miles from the boundary of Yellowstone. The project would have employed 280 people and generated $230 million in revenue.4

This mining project was not unique. The area had been mined for 150 years before Yellowstone National Park was established. Crown Butte had worked along with the U.S. Forest Service to ensure that all of the necessary precautions were being taken to ensure that the project would be environmentally responsible. Crown Butte had won an award for excellence in 1992 and was considered to be a “showcase operation.”5

None of these factors mattered to the U.N.’s World Heritage Committee. Citing the project as a potential threat, the U.N. exerted its authority to force the abandonment of the project. It did not matter to the U.N. that this violated Crown Butte’s exercise of its private property rights under the U.S. Constitution. Nor did the U.N. care that its action also went against U.S. federal law prohibiting the inclusion of non-federal property within a U.S. World Heritage Site without the consent of the property owner.6

Although it has not happened yet, under the World Heritage Treaty the U.N. has the legal right to someday restrict us, as American citizens, from visiting our national treasures.

Many environmentalists believe that the mere presence of humans disturbs the environment. As such, it is not farfetched to wonder when the politically-correct U.N. will ban the American public from Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, the Florida Everglades, the Great Smoky Mountains and other precious natural wonders now visited annually by millions of tourists.

Ironically, banning generations of young people from visiting our natural wonders would undermine the public’s appreciation for the spectacular gifts of nature, and undercut support for environmental protection.

Unfortunately, the World Heritage Treaty is just one of a series of government actions that is stripping away the gift of freedom we received from our Founding Fathers.

To stop this erosion of sovereign rights, federal legislation has been introduced to restore the rights of Americans against this threat to freedom. The American Land Sovereignty Protection Act seeks to preserve the sovereignty of the United States over public lands and preserve the private property rights of private citizens. It would require congressional oversight of U.N. land designations within the U.S.7

We should not turn our backs on the Founding Fathers by surrendering the precious gift of sovereignty. We should treasure and protect it.

Barack Obama’s Royal Roots

I thought many might be interested in the fact that Barack Obama is related to George Bush and others:

Today many in America and around the world are rejoicing over the election of Barack Hussein Obama to the highest political office in the United States. He is the ultimate dream-come-true of African Americans who have long fought to be recognized as free co-equal citizens after early America’s terribly shameful stigma of slavery was forced upon them. The old spiritual song, “We Shall Overcome,” has been realized at last.

Oprah Winfrey said, “…I’ve sort of been, like, pulsating all day, and now I feel like I’m, like, in full-vibrational-mode … It feels like there’s a shift in consciousness. It feels like something really big and bold has happened here…”

I’m afraid the world will not automatically find mankind’s elusive utopia with the installment of the new American president. When Barack Obama was elected, I thought, “At least, we will have a president who is not related to European royalty!” But, alas, there seems to be no light at the end of this world’s darkening tunnel, because Barack Obama is related to President George W. Bush!
Barack Obama and President Bush are 10th cousins, once removed, linked by Samuel Hinckley of Cape Cod, who died in 1662. Does that name, Hinckley, sound familiar?

When John Warnock Hinckley, Jr., attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in Washington, D.C. on March 30, 1981, the Houston Post reported that Hinckley is the son of one of George H. W. Bush’s political and financial supporters in his 1980 presidential primary campaign against Ronald Reagan. His elder brother, Scott Hinckley, and Vice President Bush’s son, Neil Bush, had a dinner appointment scheduled for the next day.

Now we learn that the Hinckley family are more than friends — they may be cousins — cousins to both the Bush family and Barack Obama’s family on his mother’s side.

Obama’s distant presidential cousins include President George W. Bush and his father, George H. W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Lyndon Johnson, Harry S. Truman and James Madison.

The New England Historic Genealogical Society released their genealogy report after tracing the family trees of the presidential candidates. It is a fact that Barack Obama, the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya, is related to several presidents across both party lines. Founded in 1845, the New England Historic Genealogical Society is the oldest and largest nonprofit genealogical organization in the country.

Obama is also related to other politicians, such as Vice President Dick Cheney, British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill and Civil War General Robert E. Lee. The vice president’s wife, Lynne Cheney, announced her discovery while discussing her new book, Blue Skies, No Fences, on MSNBC.

When asked if she would support Hillary Rodham Clinton because she is a woman, Lynne Cheney said, “I have to admit to a certain bias here … Dick and Barack Obama are eighth cousins.”

Mrs. Cheney said that it was “an amazing American story that one ancestor … could be responsible down the family line for lives that have taken such different and varied paths.”

Then asked if she supported Obama she quickly said, “No.”

According to Chicago Sun-Times, “The Obama camp made light of the family ties. ‘Every family has a black sheep,’ said spokeswoman Jen Psaki, with tongue firmly planted in cheek.”

Michelle Obama’s Jewish Roots

Some in Israel are worried that Barack Obama may forsake the Jews in favor of the Palestinians, or that he is somehow a secret Muslim. But, there is a bright note to consider.

Obama’s wife is related to Rabbi Capers Funnye (pronounced “Fuh-NAY”), one of the nation’s most prominent black rabbis. He and Michelle Obama are cousins. Funnye’s mother, Verdelle Robinson Funnye, and Michelle Obama’s paternal grandfather, Frasier Robinson, Jr., were brother and sister.

Rabbi Funnye is the chief rabbi of the Beth Shalom B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation in southwest Chicago. He is well known in Jewish circles for acting as a bridge between mainstream Jewry and the much smaller, and largely separate, world of black Jewish congregations, sometimes known as black Hebrews, or Israelites. He has often urged the larger Jewish community to be more accepting of Jews who are not white.

In this presidential campaign, Funnye’s famous relative gives an unexpected twist to the relationship between Barack Obama and the Jewish community. On the one hand, Jewish political organizers, voters and donors — including some of the city’s wealthiest and most prominent families — played an essential role in Obama’s rise to power in Chicago.

Rabbi Funnye told the Jewish publication, Forward, “I know that her grandfather and her father and my mom and all of our relatives that are now deceased would be so very, very proud of both of them.” Funnye, 56, has known Michelle Obama (born Michelle Robinson), 44, since she was born. Both grew up on the South Side of Chicago, and Funnye’s mother and Obama’s father enjoyed a close relationship.

The two fell out of touch when they grew older, but they reconnected years later when Obama was working for the University of Chicago and Funnye was leading a local social service organization called The Blue Gargoyle. Funnye also worked with Barack Obama, who, as a state senator, came and spoke at events for the organization. When Barack and Michelle Obama married, Funnye and his family attended the wedding. Funnye said that he and the Obamas have not been in touch since the presidential campaign began.”

Genetically Modified Crops Implicated in Honeybee Colony Collapse

As the disappearance of honeybees continues, researchers are trying desperately to discover the cause of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). General concensus at this point is that there is more than once cause and the latest culprit may be genetically modified crops. This is one area of research being neglected as mainstream scientists insist GM crops are safe.

For the last 100 years, beekeepers have experienced colony losses from bacteria, (foulbrood), mites (varroa and tracheal) and other pathogens. These problems are dealt with by using antibiotics, miticides and and other methods of pest management. Losses are slow and expected and beekeepers know how to limit the destruction. This new mass die-off is different in that it is virtually instantaneous with no warning of the impending collapse.

John McDonald, a bee keeper in Pennsyvania with a background in biology, speculated that genetically modified crops could play a role in CCD. Although the government constantly reassures us that these genetic manipulations are safe for both humans and the environment, his hope is that looking more closely at these issues might raise questions about those assumptions.

The common bacterium, bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) supplies the most commonly used segment of transgenic DNA. Bt has been used for decades by farmers and gardeners to control crop damage from butterfy larvae. Now, instead of spraying this bacterium directly on the crops, where it is eaten only by the target insects, the genes containing the insecticidal traits are incorporated into the genome of the plant itself. As the genetically modified plant grows, these Bt genes are replicated in every cell of the plant, including pollen. Therefore, every cell of each GM plant contains its own poison aimed to kill the target insect. The target insects consume some portion of the plant, then once ingested, the toxin produced by the Bt genes causes crystallization in the guts of boring larvae and thus death. The primary toxin is a protein called Cry1Ab. In the case of field corn, the targeted insects are stem and root-borers and butterfly larvae.

Although scientists “assure” us that bees (hymenopterans) are not affected, there are Bt variants available that target beetles, flies and mosquitoes. There is indisputable proof that Cry1Ab is present in beehives. Beekeepers spray Bt under hive lids to control the wax moth because the larvae cause messy webs on the honey. Canadian beekeepers have noted the disappearance of this moth even in untreated hives, apparently the result of bees ingesting Cry1Ab while foraging in GM canola plants.

It eliminates the whole practice of “saving seeds” and propagating food from one plant generation to the next — a practice that humankind has depended on for survival since the beginning of human history.

In doing so, this gene terminator technology is a crime against both nature and humanity. To deny farmers the ability to propagate seeds from one generation to the next is to enslave humanity in a system of corporate control that violates the laws of nature and God.
