By DARREN GOODE and JONATHAN ALLENLAS VEGAS — Senate Majority Harry Reid again deflected questions Monday about releasing his tax returns, even as he continued to pound the demand for Mitt Romney to make more of his own public.
Instead, Reid pointed to the financial disclosure forms he files as a member of Congress, which provide different information.
“I’m a member of Congress now, I don’t make too much money,” said Reid, whose net worth was estimated at $10 million in 2010. “But it’s all listed every year.”
Reid spokesman Adam Jentleson told POLITICO last week that the majority leader will not release his tax returns, writing: “He’s not running for president. … He has of course released more than 30 years of detailed [personal finance disclosures]. There is exponentially more information available to the public about Senator Reid’s financial life than there is about Mitt Romney’s.”
Conservatives have begun accusing Reid of hypocrisy for his attacks on Romney. And the Las Vegas Review-Journal — in a somewhat different context — on Monday resurrected a 1974 statement in which Reid said: “Any man or woman who will not be completely candid about his or her finances does not deserve to be in public office.”
Asked about that statement at a news conference Monday in Nevada, Reid responded: “In 1974 I wasn’t in Congress.
“All you have to do is go look,” he added. “I file every year, every stock trade, every piece of land I buy, all the money I have, it has the value of my homes, it’s got it all there.”

‘Cause Americans have a RIGHT to see the tax returns
of anyone who wants to be their President!
NO if’s, …No and’s, ….and NO big fat butt’s about it!

Then Obama needs to show his College Records and the Passport that he used to travel to Pakistan in the 1981 when Americans weren’t allowed to by the State Dept. He has these records all sealed up……so Mitt Romney should show his other tax returns when Obama shows these other records he has sealed up that we can’t see. Can you spell ‘hypocrite’ on Obama’s part.

In as much as Harry needs to show his, Obama needs to show his…then Mitt should his. You can’t have one without the other. I prefer someone who knows how to make money to Harry, Nancy and Obama who only know how to spend it. What difference does it make how he made money, invested money or used tax loopholes? He is hiding no more than the idiots in the office now. Pretty amazing that inquiring minds don’t want to know about what they’re hiding. But, alas, when the tables are turned, and the economy has life once again…then all the mud slinging in the world won’t hide the ignorance of these past four years. Interesting you said rich, power hungry Republicans…have you checked the bankrolls of your Democrat heros? Wait, let me guess…another word we’re fond of saying… hypocritical…
