The Republicans MUST stand up to this type thing….it’s unconstitutional!

Did you hear about this? America has a Dictator now!

In the WSJ, they reported on Obama’s press conference yesterday. One of his proposals is to allow HIM to automatically increase the debt limit — without Congressional approval! Folks, we now have a dictator — the Dictator of Debt! He’s proposing to end the debt ceiling by giving himself unlimited power to spend without Congressional approval. Wow! This is truly unprecedented!

Here is the story:
Obama Wants Power to Spend Without Limit

Here is a small excerpt:
“President Barack Obama made an opening bid in budget talks with Republicans that calls for a $1.6 trillion tax increase, $50 billion in infrastructure spending in 2013 and new power to raise the federal debt limit, a provocative set of demands that Republicans said represented a step backward in efforts to avoid looming tax increases and spending cuts…”

This is truly frightening, because he could then spend ad infinitum and it would make Congress almost irrelevant. In the Constitution, the budgetary powers reside in Congress, not the Executive branch. The fact that he wants nearly infinite powers to spend would gut Congress of its single greatest power — the power of the purse strings — and transfer that authority to the President instead. It would quite literally create an imperial presidency.

Most Americans are absolutely clueless about the significance of this. It suggests that there is a very dark motive and nefarious purposes beyond what we could have ever imagined, behind Obama’s attempt to negotiate with Congress. He’s seeking virtually unlimited power through the back door! And the mainstream media — the propaganda press — is nearly silent about this!

Last week, in another article on the WSJ website, Treas Sec. Geithner called for ELIMINATION of the debt ceiling. At the time, I thought that it was a galling suggestion. Now we see that the White House has a literal plan to do just that!

Report: In Virginia, more guns, less crime

Comments Off on Report: In Virginia, more guns, less crime

As gun ownership has increased dramatically, gun-related violent crimes have gradually decreased over the past six years in the state of Virginia, according to a new analysis.
From 2006 to 2011, the total number of guns purchased in Virginia increased 73 percent, while the total number of gun-related violent crimes decreased 24 percent over that period. And when adjusted for population growth, the number of crimes further decreases to more than 27 percent, with 79 gun-related offenses per 100,000 in 2006 dropping to 57 by 2011.
Virginia Commonwealth University professor Thomas R. Baker conducted the analysis at the request of the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Baker told the paper that the findings appear to contradict the popular premise that more guns cause more violent crime.
Baker examined data from the Virginia Firearms Transaction Center, which tracks the number of gun transactions for every federally licensed Virginia firearm dealer, to state crime data from 2006 to 2011. That data demonstrated that an increase in gun purchases one year was often followed by a decrease in gun crime the next year.
“So the only thing it could be is that more guns are causing less crime,” Baker concluded, noting that the data is “pretty overwhelming.”
Additionally, this trend held true when comparing purchases of all types of firearms, including pistols, revolvers, shotguns and rifles, to gun crime during that period.
The number of gun purchases in the state rose to a record-breaking 420,829 purchases last year, according to gun-dealer transaction data.
Baker believes guns become a political issue because criminals use them and the notion that guns cause crime is “persuasive.” But he notes those individuals focus on the wrong component.
“Instead of trying to figure out why are these people committing crimes — and using the most effective tool to commit those crimes — they focus on the tool,” he continued. “So the gun is causing the crime.”

Troops Redeploying to Iraq Nine Months After Withdrawal, Violence Continues

by Ezra Van Auken

A little over a year ago in October, President Obama declared that the nearly decade-long war in Iraq would be drawing to an end by January 2012. Obama went on to say, “We’ll help Iraqis strengthen institutions that are just, representative and accountable. We’ll build new ties of trade and of commerce, culture and education that unleash the potential of the Iraqi people.”

Although, just last week in the fifteenth paragraph of a New York Times article was indication that Iraq’s condition is only crumbling. With the redeployment of an Army Special Operations force, there could be more on the way, according to the Times. “Iraq and the United States are negotiating an agreement that could result in the return of small units of American soldiers to Iraq on training missions,” due to the resurgence by Sunni Muslims and “spillover” from the Syrian war.

Besides the United States bringing a military presence to Iraq, the US has a $19 billion deal that includes an arsenal of weapons. Not only does the US have a multi-billion dollar program with the Iraqis but is also sending antiaircraft arms as well. This entire scenario is happening while Iraq allows Iran free airspace over their country.

Tom Hayden of thenation.com explains, “The irony is that the U.S. is protecting a pro-Iran Shiite regime in Baghdad against a Sunni-based insurgency while at the same time supporting a Sunni-led movement against the Iran-backed dictatorship in Syria,” referring to what many know as a proxy-war. Iraq’s Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki apparently has reinforcements to the border of Iraq and Syria to control the flow of militants crossing borders.

Much like the border situation in Iraq, when troops go through withdrawal from Afghanistan, many are worried the border will not be able to account for militants coming from Pakistan. A report by John Sopko, Inspector General of Afghanistan revealed that over $80 million dollars was wasted on Afghanistan border security, which clearly shows a grim outlook for Afghanistan as well.

Regardless of border protection in both Iraq and Afghanistan, violence inside Iraq has climbed recently with 33 killed and over 100 wounded. As RT reported, the car bombs targeted Shia neighborhoods, police checkpoints and other security areas. This comes after another rather large attack on September 26th south of Baghdad.

Benghazi – Susan Rice Has Ties To Iran

Comments Off on Benghazi – Susan Rice Has Ties To Iran

When Obama rails against the 99% with Warren Buffett at his side crying that the wealthy should “pay their fair share,” oddly the name Susan Rice doesn’t come up. It’s odd because Rice is the wealthiest staff member in the Executive Department, amassing in the neighborhood of forty million dollars.

Where do these millions of dollars pour in from?

You should take a look at her financial disclosure form. It’s like reading War and Peace. She has an endless number of investments in companies throughout the world. But one of her soft spots is companies that do investments with Iranian companies, especially those that buy Iran’s billions of barrels in crude oil.

Russia’s Pravda Declares “Communism Won in America with Obama; US Suffering Has Only Begun’

Comments Off on Russia’s Pravda Declares “Communism Won in America with Obama; US Suffering Has Only Begun’

In an extraordinary column last week, Russia’s de facto government press arm declared that the era of “Miss American Pie” was over in the U.S. Citing Obama’s reelection, Pravda stated that the “Communists have won in America…”

Why? Because the US is “an illiterate society” that continues to buy off on Obama’s “lies of less taxes while he raises them.” The US educational system is also held responsible, with Pravda stating that it was “conquered by the Communists long ago and history was revised thus paving the way for their Communist presidents.”

As you might have gathered, Pravda’s hit on Obama as a communist isn’t a glancing blow. It seems to be the overriding theme of the article:

He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia. Obama’s fools and Stalin’s fools share the same drink of illusion.

Pravda also criticizes the growing American attack on religious freedom, saying that “Christianity in the U.S. is under attack as it was during the early period of the Soviet Union.”

The Russian article concludes with a frightening warning to Americans:

Russia lost its’ civil war with the Reds and millions suffered torture and death for almost 75 years under the tyranny of the United Soviet Socialist Republic. Russians survived with a new and stronger faith in God and ever growing Christian Church. The question is how long will the once “Land of the Free” remain the United Socialist States of America? Their suffering has only begun.

There’s no doubt that everything is not right in Russia. Nevertheless, it’s extraordinary that our formerly communist neighbor is now chiding the United States for moving in the same fatal direction of the former Soviet Union.

Legal victory against Obamacare ‘mandate’

Comments Off on Legal victory against Obamacare ‘mandate’

Folks this will continue until the “mandate” is declared unconstitutional, because it is, as it Obamacare in it’s entirety.

A federal appeals court has agreed with three U.S. district judges and blocked the enforcement of the Obamacare “mandate” that would have forced a Missouri company to pay for health insurance including abortifacients in violation of the religious beliefs of the owners.

The order from a three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is the first from the appellate level among the dozens of cases challenging the Obamacare mandate.

According to officials with the American Center for Law and Justice, the order puts on hold the White House-promoted requirement in the case involving Frank R. O’Brien and O’Brien Industrial Holdings, a St. Louis, Mo., company that runs a number of businesses that explore, mine and process refractory and ceramic raw materials.

“By granting our motion, the appeals court blocks the implementation of the HHS mandate and clears the way for our lawsuit to continue – a significant victory for our client,” said Francis Manion, senior counsel of the ACLJ. “The order sends a message that the religious beliefs of employers must be respected by the government. We have argued from the beginning that employers like Frank O’Brien must be able to operate their business in a manner consistent with their moral values, not the values of the government. We look forward to this case moving forward and securing the constitutional rights of our client.”

In October, a federal district court judge granted Obama’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit. The ACLJ immediately filed an appeal, and the higher court today granted the motion for an injunction.

The lawsuit was launched in March 2012 and marked the first legal challenge to the HHS mandate from a private business owner and his company, the ACLJ said.

O’Brien, a Catholic, told the ACLJ his religious beliefs provide the framework for the operation of his businesses, which employ 87 people. The company website states the mission “is to make our labor a pleasing offering to the Lord while enriching our families and society.”

Meanwhile, district judges in Colorado, Michigan and Chicago have issued similar rulings to protect companies in those locations while they fight what they describe as a blatant violation of the owners’ religious rights.
