Rocky Mountain High School: Outrage as high school recites Pledge in Arabic saying ‘One Nation Under Allah’

Comments Off on Rocky Mountain High School: Outrage as high school recites Pledge in Arabic saying ‘One Nation Under Allah’

Fury is brewing at Rocky Mountain High School, in Colorado, after a multicultural student group were encouraged to recite the Pledge of Allegiance over the loudspeaker in Arabic – replacing ‘one nation under God’ with ‘one nation under Allah’.

Following Monday’s pledge, Principal Tom Lopez has been inundated with complaints from outraged parents concerned that saying the Pledge in any language other than English is unpatriotic.

Standing by his controversial decision, Principal Lopez has said that despite the irate telephone calls and emails, he is not in any way or form trying to push an Islamic agenda at the Fort Collins school.

Rocky Mountain High School in Colorado was hit by controversy on Monday when a student group recited the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic

‘These students love this country,’ said Lopez to Fox News.

‘They were not being un-American in trying to do this. They believed they were accentuating the meaning of the words as spoken regularly in English.’

At the school, the Pledge of Allegiance is recited once a week and on Monday, a member of the Cultural Arms Club at Rocky Mountain High School read out an Arabic version.

IGNORED BY LIB MEDIA: Zimmerman Was a Democrat, Voted For Obama, Tutored Black Kids

Comments Off on IGNORED BY LIB MEDIA: Zimmerman Was a Democrat, Voted For Obama, Tutored Black Kids

For some reason the corrupt American media forgot to mention this in their reports…

George Zimmerman calls himself a Democrat.
A local media channel even reported this back in March 2012.

“What we do know about Zimmerman is… he calls himself a Democrat.”

George Zimmerman was an Obama Democrat.
He took a black girl to prom. He tutured black kids.
The Examiner reported:

Al Sharpton has incited crowds with “arrest Zimmerman now!” and MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough has flatly called George Zimmerman a murderer. Yet what has been widely underreported by the majority of American news organs is that Zimmerman is actually an Obama Democrat who has quite the history of working with and for fellow Americans of African heritage, as reported byThe Telegraph (of London, England) on 15 July, 2013; both the Mercury News (of Silicon Valley, CA) and The National Reviewon July 14, 2013; and Breitbart.com on Feb. 6, 2013.

At times collectively and others singularly, The Telegraph, the Mercury News and The National Review have all cited past instances of Zimmerman’s liberal/Democrat street-cred that would cause any Hollywood starlet or six figure income resident of Manhattan’s tony Upper West Side hang their head in shame.

Researchable and legitimate source examples of Zimmerman’s past history of working with and for blacks include:

  • “He and a black friend opened up an insurance office in a Florida…”
  • “He’d engaged in notably un-racist behaviour such as taking a black girl to his high-school prom…”
  • “Not only does he have black relatives, he has reportedly donated his time to tutor black children.”
  • “He launched a campaign to help a homeless black man who was beaten up by a white kid.”

FBI records: agents found no evidence that Zimmerman was racist

Comments Off on FBI records: agents found no evidence that Zimmerman was racist

After interviewing nearly three dozen people in the George Zimmerman murder case, the FBI found no evidence that racial bias was a motivating factor in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, records released Thursday show.

Even the lead detective in the case, Sanford Det. Chris Serino, told agents that he thought Zimmerman profiled Trayvon because of his attire and the circumstances — but not his race.

Serino saw Zimmerman as “having little hero complex, but not as a racist.”

The Duval County State Attorney released another collection of evidence in the Zimmerman murder case Thursday, including reports from FBI agents who investigated whether any racial bias was involved in Trayvon’s Feb. 26 killing.

The evidence includes bank surveillance videos from the day of the killing, crime scene photos and memos from prosecutors.

Among the documents is a note from the prosecutor who said one of the witnesses said her son, a minor, had felt pressured by investigators to say the injured man he saw was wearing a red top. The boy’s testimony had been considered key, because it backed up Zimmerman’s allegation that he — wearing red — was being pummeled.

Federal agents interviewed Zimmerman’s neighbors and co-workers, but none said Zimmerman had expressed racial animus at any time prior to the Feb. 26 shooting of Martin, a black teen, in a confrontation at a Sanford housing complex. As Sanford police investigated the circumstances of Martin’s death, the FBI opened a parallel probe to determine if Martin’s civil rights had been violated.

Several co-workers said they had never seen Zimmerman display any prejudice or racial bias.

Two co-workers told agents they spoke with Zimmerman the day after the shooting, and both said they noticed injuries to Zimmerman’s nose and the back of his head. One person said Zimmerman was “absolutely devastated.”

Zimmerman told both colleagues that he followed Martin — whom Zimmerman described as a “suspicious person” — so he could tell police where the teen went, but was then “jumped” by Martin. Zimmerman told both that Martin reached for Zimmerman’s gun before Zimmerman shot Martin.

In all, the FBI interviewed 35 people about Zimmerman, from current and former co-workers to neighbors and an ex-girlfriend.

Among the revelations found in nearly 300 pages of records:

Obama paints himself into a corner over Trayvon Martin

Comments Off on Obama paints himself into a corner over Trayvon Martin

President Obama’s tightrope-walk response to George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin created a no-win scenario for a White House that inserted itself into a racially charged debate with no easy way out.

The president’s own words more than a year ago  “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”  are fueling the push for his Justice Department to bring federal charges against Zimmerman, the Hispanic neighborhood-watch coordinator who has become a symbol of a broken justice system in the eyes of civil rights groups.

“The president in the beginning needlessly exacerbated the issue — it added nothing to the tragedy. I don’t see how this ends well for anybody.”

When Obama waded into the controversy in March 2012, his words seemed to carry limited consequences. His statement of support for the Martin family played well with supporters and was more than a year away from the polarizing trial.

It’s not that simple anymore.

In an apparent effort to cool emotions, Obama reminded Americans after the verdict that the “jury has spoken.” And White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, answering questions for the first time about the outcome, insisted that Obama had “no opinion to express” about a potential civil rights case against Zimmerman.

However, the president’s political headache is just beginning.

Attorney General Eric Holder vowed that his department would root out any racial stereotypes causing violent confrontations, telling both a black sorority in Washington and the NAACP in Orlando that his office was not done investigating the shooting inside a gated community in Sanford, Fla. Federal prosecutors started its examination of the killing last year, and the longer it goes, the more questions emerge about whether the Justice Department has enough evidence to bring a case.

74% of small businesses will fire workers, cut hours under Obamacare

Comments Off on 74% of small businesses will fire workers, cut hours under Obamacare

Despite the administration’s controversial decision to delay forcing companies to join Obamacare for a year, three-quarters of small businesses are still making plans to duck the costly law by firing workers, reducing hours of full-time staff, or shift many to part-time, according to a sobering survey released by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“Small businesses expect the requirement to negatively impact their employees. Twenty-seven percent say they will cut hours to reduce full time employees, 24 percent will reduce hiring, and 23 percent plan to replace full time employees with part-time workers to avoid triggering the mandate,” said the Chamber business survey provided to Secrets.

Under Obamacare, just 30 hours  not the nationally recognized 40 hours  is considered full-time. Companies with 50 full-time workers or more are required to provide health care, or pay a fine.

The administration recently decided to wait a year before businesses had to comply, but many are trying to get ready anyway. The president did not delay the mandate that Americans must have health insurance or pay a fine, however.

The Chamber’s second quarter small business survey found that just 30 percent are ready for the law and even understand what is required.

Dealing with Obamacare is the biggest worry of small businesses and comes as they continue to see a sluggish economy which has already put a brake on their hiring. Just 17 percent reported adding employees in the past two years. And only one-in-five small business owners believe that they will add employees in the next two years.

The Chamber added that “nearly one-in-four employers say the health care bill is their biggest obstacle to hiring more employees.”

Other key findings from the Chamber survey:

77 percent continue to think the U.S. economy is on the wrong track. However, small businesses are more optimistic about their local economy and individual business.

The majority (61 percent) of small businesses do not have plans to hire next year.

Concerns about regulation have increased significantly from 35 percent last quarter to 42 percent now.

Small businesses are looking for leadership on issues that will remove barriers and encourage growth.

88 percent of all small businesses support addressing entitlement spending to resolve America’s growing financial challenges and escalating debt.

83 percent support congressional efforts to reform the tax code — with the majority focusing on making it less complex.

81 percent of small businesses surveyed believe the immigration system is broken and needs to be reformed.

In contrast to the president’s recent speech pushing new energy regulations, 90 percent of small businesses support easing EPA regulations and opening up more federal lands for drilling.

Once again, laws don’t matter to Obama | United Liberty | Free Market – Individual Liberty – Limited Government

President Obama clearly believes what Nixon once said, that if the president does it, it’s not illegal.  Now, he’s trying to circumvent the law that helps protect patient privacy in order to restrict millions of Americans from buying firearms.

From Reuters:

President Barack Obama said he wants to see state governments contribute more names of people barred from buying guns to the database, part of a sweeping set of executive actions he announced after a gunman killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, in December.

The database, called the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, is used by gun dealers to check whether a potential buyer is prohibited from owning a gun.

States are encouraged to report to the database the names of people who are not allowed to buy guns because they have been involuntarily committed to a mental hospital, or have been found to have serious mental illnesses by courts.

Many states do not participate. So the administration is looking at changing a health privacy rule – part of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) – to remove one potential barrier.

Here’s the problem with that.  You see, the law actually prevents people who have been adjudicated from owning firearms.  It says nothing about specific diagnosis.  It requires a court to determine an individual is unfit to own firearms.

President Obama seeks to skirt two laws in one fell swoop.

Unsurprisingly, gun rights advocates have reacted, sending thousands of letters to the Health and Human Services Department.  However, the department also received a number of comments from health professionals.

Health care professionals are sympathetic to Obama’s goal of reducing gun violence, but worry that the privacy rule proposal could discourage people with mental illness from seeking treatment.

“I think it’s a bad idea. It would really put a chill on people getting services,” said Daniel Fisher, who was treated for schizophrenia decades ago, recovered, and became a well-known psychiatrist and mental health advocate in Massachusetts.

“They find it very scary, the idea of a national database that the government will keep,” Fisher said.

They’re probably right.  This is especially true of combat vets who may be struggling with PTSD.  Many of these are dealing with relatively minor cases, and are no threat to anyone, yet may worry their right to own firearms will be infringed as a result of seeking mental health treatment.

However, right now these individuals are protected by HIPAA.  That’s something that Obama apparently just can’t handle.
