DNC Chair Claims Dems Will Be Running On ObamaCare In 2014

Oh Please do, it’s been so successful!

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who chairs the Democratic National Committee, believes Republicans will suffer politically in 2014 for their opposition to Obamacare.

The Florida Democrat was responding to Karl Rove during an interview on MSNBC Tuesday after the former senior adviser to President George W. Bush mocked her for saying that Democrats should embrace the health care reform bill during their re-election campaigns.

“Heck, yeah, I’m going to make sure that we run on that all across the country next year,” Wasserman Schultz said after listing what she believes to be Obamacare’s benefits for Americans.

NRSC, Dayspring Threaten Blogger With Private Emails, Black-listing

Referred by Mark Levin on Facebook, Must read: GOP unleashes thugs and threats.

I was debating whether to publish this post. After seeing this below pop up just now, I decided to go with it. There may be a part two, as well. Stay tuned.

Evidently it isn’t only groups establishment Republicans are now threatening and blacklisting. I received similar threats below last week. See below.

The GOP group that’s blacklisted by the GOP

Mitch McConnell has a bad habit of blaming the grassroots for the party’s losses and ignoring our role in the party’s victories.

Immediately after learning of a recent NRSC effort to attack the GOP’s grassroots base and any potential primary challenges to its incumbents, I shot off an email to them suggesting a conference call, as I suspected the tactics would backfire. I still believe that and, in fact, they already have. The opposition to McConnell in Kentucky has grown significantly precisely because of the heavy-handed tactics of what appears to be a bunch of frat boys running wild and carelessly running their mouths on behalf of the NRSC.

They seem to have a bad habit of doing that from the New York Times, to Twitter and now to bloggers in email. Big mistake.

It was only afterward that I read and came to fully understand the length to which the NRSC seems willing to go to stifle political dissent within its own party.

Upon understanding what they were up to in detail, I then wrote a much deserved scathing critique – leaving out Dayspring and an associate with whom I was to speak on Monday.

In 9 plus years of blogging, never have I seen a story this telling of a Republican Party that doesn’t understand its base, or New Media. Worse, it’s indicative of a corrupt inside the Beltway party that has abandoned, or decided to ignore nearly everything I believe in as an American and a conservative. This is a disaster for several reasons I’ll try to briefly and clearly explain my thinking below.

Rural Colorado residents vote to secede as metro areas shift more liberal

DENVER — The nation’s newest state, if rural Colorado residents had their way, would be about the size of Vermont but with the population of a small town spread across miles of farmland. There wouldn’t be civil unions for gay couples, new renewable energy standards, or limits on ammunition magazines.

After all, those were some of the reasons five counties on the state’s Eastern Plains voted on Election Day to approve the creation of a 51st state in the first place.

Secession supporters know the votes were symbolic, designed to grab the attention of a Democratic-controlled Legislature. They say the vote results emphasize a growing frustration in conservative prairie towns with the more populous and liberal urban Front Range, which has helped solidify the Democrats’ power.

“We can’t outvote the metropolitan areas anymore, and the rural areas don’t have a voice anymore,” said Perk Odell, 80, a lifelong resident of Akron in Washington County, which voted to secede.

The five counties share borders, covering about 9,500 square miles and have a combined population of about 29,200. Four of the counties — Philips, Yuma, Kit Carson and Cheyenne — border Kansas. They are solidly Republican areas that have long identified more with Kansas and Nebraska because of their agricultural background than with Denver.

Towns like Akron, population 1,700, were founded in the 1880s along railroads and thrived as agriculture producers, booming in the 1900s during grain shortages. They began a decline in 1920s that continued through the Dust Bowl and their populations have decreased or remained stagnant since then.

What remains are tight-knit communities where grain silos are sometimes the tallest structures around.

Other parts of the state, meanwhile, have grown. More than 80 percent of Colorado’s 5 million residents live on the Front Range. The counties that voted to secede currently only have two state representatives and one state senator.

Obama to Release Misleading Numbers on Obamacare

Comments Off on Obama to Release Misleading Numbers on Obamacare

This week, the Obama administration will be releasing the first numbers on the Obamacare enrollment and it will be every bit as honest as Obama himself.  To get an actual idea on how many enrollees have actually signed up, you need to know, who has actually paid for it.  But according to the Washington Post, that’s not the number they are going to give us.  They will be more, shall we say liberal, in their counting.  They intend to count everyone who has paid and everyone who has signed up but not paid.

But you must remember, that the site was originally set up, where you needed to complete the entire process in order to get the cost of your insurance.  So, anyone who got a price and decided not to purchase a policy will count as an enrollee.  This will inflate the numbers by the number of people who have decided to pay the penalty or otherwise not sign up for Obamacare.

An administrative official, speaking on condition of anonymity said, “In the data that will be released this week, ‘enrollment’ will measure people who have filled out an application and selected a qualified health plan in the marketplace.”

The report will do little except to inflame tempers as each side will point to the differing numbers to make the program look wildly deficient or mildly successful.  The number of people who have signed up and paid will be dwarfed by the number of people, who went through the entire procedure, just to reject it.

The Wall Street Journal has said that insurance companies have received 50,000 completed applications and even if you add state tallies, we will be far below the 500,000 the administration had predicted.  They will blame the roll out and not the exorbitant cost increases under the Obamacare bill.  The administration is defending this way of measuring, pointing out that they are finished with the government once the application is finished.  It’s up to the insurance companies to collect their fees.

So we will get what we have always gotten from our government under Obama, and that is false and misleading numbers.

US DOJ Cancels School Board Meeting Amid Protests Over Common Core Book

There is a controversy brewing in Volusia County, Florida over a particular textbook used to teach World History in the high school.

Prentice Hall,  World History textbook  was discussed by Todd Sterns on Sean Hannity’s show. It includes 36 pages devoted to Islam and a major chapter, but no chapters on any other religion. Prentice Hall is owned by Pearson.

The book was selected by Volusia County schools because it was aligned to  Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS). These mandated standards are established by the Florida Department of Education and are phase III of the Common Core. The Next Generation Label is used by the Common Core Consortia for the Science and Social Studies standards the are intended to follow the adoption of Math and English language Common Core standards.

Parents had planned to protest at the school board’s meeting, but the meeting was cancelled in the interest of public safety. The school district was  contacted by the United States Department of Justice over safety concerns due to the parent protest and had the school board cancel the meeting. This shows the degree of federal control over the implementation of  the Common Core curriculum.

Appeals Court Spanks Obama Again

Comments Off on Appeals Court Spanks Obama Again

Obama’s record in the courts is abysmal.  Tyrants never do good with courts.  Courts expect you to follow the law.  The US Court of Appeal in Chicago by a 2-1 vote ordered two cases involving the contraceptive back to the lower court, with instructions to issue a restraining order, forbidding Obama from trying to enforce the mandate.  Last week, Obama lost a similar lawsuit.

These decisions are huge because they have determined that business owners may use their religious beliefs in making decisions for their companies.  That is what we call religious freedom and it’s still alive in the courts even if it had died within the democratic party.  They do not boo God from the bench like they do at the Democratic national Convention.  This almost assures the fact that the Supreme Court will hear the cases.

U.S. Circuit Judge Diane Sykes wrote:

“These cases — two among many currently pending in courts around the country –  raise important questions about whether business owners and their closely held  corporations may assert a religious objection to the contraception mandate and  whether forcing them to provide this coverage substantially burdens their  religious-exercise rights.”

Edward White, representing  Cyril B. Korte, commented:

“This is an important issue to people who run these small companies and are  dictated by their faith in how they should run the company.”

“The decision is the first appeals court ruling finding in favor of both the  owners and the company.”

“The Supreme Court will take up the case because “you have a conflict on an  important national issue.  We’re overjoyed.”

The ACLU expressed disappointment at the decision.
